POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Manager, Partnership Solutions is responsible for managing the creation and development of turnkey and customized partnership proposals that support revenue generation and partner growth and retention for the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center.

The Sr. Manager, Partnership Solutions will report to the Vice President, Partnership Solutions and work closely with both the corporate sales and partnership activation teams. They will project manage the Partnership Solutions team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including, but not limited to, marketing, content and hockey operations departments. They will be responsible for the creation of Devils partnership inventory and platforms for prospective and current partners through research (identify industry leaders, standard processes, new technologies), platform development (idea generation and proposal construction), internal vetting (department approvals), creative presentations (project leading the creation of sales decks, directly manage internal designer).

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE BELOW:

  • Sponsorship Proposal Management
    • Manage the end-to-end sponsorship proposal process, collaborating with both the sales and activation teams to identify partner needs and develop tailored solutions.
    • Project manage the creation and approval of sponsorship proposals, ensuring timely delivery, brand alignment, and consistency with organizational goals, including ensuring the accuracy of P&L’s.
    • Manage on-staff designer, including creation and maintenance of evergreen sales materials and custom presentations.
    • Provide leadership with insights and recommendations on how to continuously improve the partnership solutions process, striving for increased efficiency.


  • Creation of Sponsorship Inventory
    • Innovate and develop new sponsorship assets that align with team objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (including marketing, digital, content and game presentation) to conceptualize unique, sellable assets.
    • Identify opportunities to optimize existing partnership inventory.
  • Industry Insights & Evaluation
    • Maintain relationships with external vendors, such as SponsorUnited, leveraging resources to follow industry trends and build industry case studies.
    • Collaborate with partnership activation team to develop case studies from existing partnerships.
    • Apply measurement and valuation tools to assess the value and impact of partnership assets.
    • Work closely with Business Intelligence team to translate data into consumable insights to be used in sales materials.
    • Support the VP, Partnership Solutions and collaborate with business intelligence on category analysis, identifying target industries and companies for partnership sales team.
  • Inventory Management
    • Supervise and handle sponsorship asset inventory, ensuring accurate tracking, availability, and proper utilization within deals.
    • Support regular reporting of inventory availability and revenue generation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in sponsorship, partnership development, or a related role, preferably within the sports or entertainment industry.
  • Strong project management skills with a consistent track record of delivering sophisticated sponsorship proposals on time and on budget.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a focus on developing innovative sponsorship solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, and experience with CRM systems (such as KORE).
  • A deep understanding of sports marketing and the sponsorship landscape, with knowledge of emerging trends and technologies.

Travel required on a TBD basis; trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.
