What would you do?

​​The Data & CRM Specialist is responsible for the on-going support and execution of CRM functions for the organization. This role is the day-to-day contact for user questions and will manage the process for ensuring accurate user input. In addition, this role serves as a critical bridge between Digital Marketing lead generation efforts and the distribution of these leads to our sales staff. As a CRM champion this individual will work with many other groups to ensure the application meets the needs of the organization by innovating and implementing efficient processes. The position’s primary focus will be the Minnesota Lynx and Iowa Wolves business units and will also support the Minnesota Timberwolves business as needed.

  1. Oversee the day-to-day management of the Microsoft CRM database, including data imports, data hygiene and user management.
  2. Monitor and support the collection and management of all customer related data.
  3. Efficiently route prospects to sales staff, monitor sales activity and provide reporting on sales effectiveness.
  4. Build, document, maintain, and support custom workflows, custom views, and custom reports inside Microsoft Dynamics.
  5. Build, document, maintain, and support Flows in the Power Automate environment.
  6. Collaborate with departments to ensure CRM is being utilized in the most efficient way.
  7. Maintain a premier training curriculum for new and existing users.
  8. Work with team to drive collection of critical data elements to enrich customer data and increase customer relationships.
  9. Assemble target lists for direct mail and email campaigns.
  10. Leverage the marketing automation platform to increase conversions and efficiency.
  11. Develop tracking and reporting to inform digital marketing and demand generation campaigns.
  12. Stay informed on new CRM features and provide information for potential process improvements.
  13. Provide first-line support for all end-user CRM related issues and inquiries. This includes investigating issues, identifying solutions and implementing/recommending actions as needed.
  14. Support the efforts of the Director of Database and CRM, providing backup across all Business intelligence disciplines.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other:

  1. Ability to communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
  2. Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy and ability to multitask.
  3. Computer skills required: experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Outlook). Proficiency in Excel, ideally with experience writing formulas and working with Pivot Tables.
  4. Able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
  5. Ability to work well on a team and independently.
  6. Ability to manage specific processes and tasks in the department under supervision.
  7. Proven problem-solver.

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:

  1. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM is ideal.
  2. Knowledge of SQL strongly preferred.
  3. Knowledge of Marketing automation tool Marketo is preferred.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate or equivalent platform is preferred.

Additional information:

Experience: 2 or more years of experience in database marketing, database management or IT-related roles

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required..

Work Environment

​​​​This job operates in a professional office environment. Office hours are typically 8:30 AM-5:00PM Monday-Friday. Work is generally sedentary in nature. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes bleachers/steps.

Physical Demands

​​​​ The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 15 pounds.

Travel ​​Position may require travel to external events. ​
