Overview
As part of the Legal Department, the Legal Clerk will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Executive Assistant/Paralegal.
Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Assist Executive Assistant/Paralegal in creating, updating and organizing numerous files, binders, indices and records for the Legal Department
- Assist Executive Assistant/Paralegal in creating and maintaining files, binders and indices for the Carolina Mudcats, Maryvale Spring Training Facility, Dominican Facility.
- Assist Executive Assistant/Paralegal in maintaining accurate records of correspondence and case status with respect to worker’s compensation matters, personal injury, litigation, stadium matters and other pending legal matters
- Scan, copy, file, and electronically save/track executed agreements
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail
- Assist Executive Assistants with lunch ordering and meeting preparation including technology set up
- Help ensure office supplies are stocked in the Executive office area
- Provide coverage for the Executive Assistant/Paralegal when on vacation or as needed
- Assist Executive Assistant/Paralegal in other administrative and clerical matters as assigned
The ideal candidate will have a one year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in Paralegal school or Law school are preferred.
Work Hours
Business hours are Monday – Friday 9 am – 5pm. Position will work 10-12 hours per week.
