Position Summary:

The Miami Marlins seek an experienced legal administrative professional to provide support to our Legal Department. Primary focus will be on contract administration, and will also include litigation management and overall departmental administrative support.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in development and maintenance of contract lifecycle management system and database.
  • Prepare first drafts of agreements for attorney review.
  • Track and monitor contracts for expiration and significant event dates.
  • Analysis and summarization of existing and draft agreements.
  • Coordination of signatures for contract execution.
  • Coordination of meetings and general project administration.
  • Performance of various administrative duties, including scanning and copying documents and organizing files.
  • Assist in managing litigation matters, including tracking deadlines and responding to requests for documents.
  • Miscellaneous office matters and special projects as they arise.
  • Liaise with internal departments on contractual matters.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or associate’s degree; Paralegal Certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of direct paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate or transactional setting.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel and Adobe.
  • Strong familiarity with standard contractual provisions.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects on deadline.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to collaborate on projects with multiple departments and contacts.
  • Must be willing to work in-person in Miami, Florida.
