Primary Objective: This role will focus primarily on coordinating and supporting administrative, technical, and data gathering efforts within the amateur department in preparation for the Rule 4 Draft. This individual will also be exposed to both in-person scouting and analytically based player evaluation. They will work closely with the amateur scouting staff, coordinating tasks like scheduling, information gathering and other day-to-day departmental needs.
Essential Functions:
- Provide administrative, logistical, and technical support in all areas of the Amateur Scouting department in preparation for the Rule 4 Draft.
- Coordinate the collection of biographical, medical, and statistical information on Draft-eligible players.
- Manage the daily in-flow of information/data from scouting staff and external sources, implement thorough tracking processes to organize information, and communicate information needs throughout the department.
- Assist in administrative tasks including but not limited to creating contracts in EBIS, managing department’s budget, planning, and executing department meetings and events - including pre-draft workouts, and other department-wide meetings throughout the year.
- Scouting and ranking of amateur players both in-person and on video as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Equivalent, relevant work experience would be considered in lieu of formal education.
- At least one year of work experience in professional baseball is preferred. Equivalent, relevant work experience could be considered in lieu of this.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel with experience or exposure with SQL preferred.
- The ability to be innovative and proactive in promoting new ideas and concepts.
Physical Activities and Working Conditions:
- Must be willing and able to relocate to Miami, FL.
- Willingness and ability to work weekends, holidays, and open to travel, as needed.
- Regularly collaborate with scouting leadership in developing self-improvement plans in all areas, including goal planning and reviews
