Job Title: RSVP Tour Guide

Job Summary: The RSVP is responsible for leading school-age groups in activities and a Kauffman Stadium Tour during the Royals Scholastic Victory Program (RSVP). Most students that attend RSVP are elementary school age. The position averages around 12-15 hours per week. Candidates may also have the opportunity to work general Stadium Tours outside of RSVP.

The Royals Scholastic Victory Program (RSVP) is a PK-6th Grade education program that brings over 9,000 students to Kauffman Stadium each school year. The purpose of RSVP is to reinforce classroom curriculum with baseball themed activities to grow the love of baseball in the Kansas City area.

Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Learn each RSVP activity
  • Adapt to the needs of the group
  • Be able to lead an activity and the stadium tour in the time given
  • Be able to work and communicate effectively with a team
  • Must be patient with children
  • Must be able to communicate effectively to groups of children and adults

Position Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be available Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm during the school year
  • Must be able to adjust to changes quickly
  • Previous experience leading groups of children a plus
  • Public speaking experience
  • Knowledge of Kansas City Royals history
  • Must have a high school diploma

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift items weighing as much as 15 pounds
  • Must be able to be productive in a work environment where the noise level can be high at times
  • Must be comfortable walking to navigate the facility to access the office, concourse, etc.
  • Must be able to work extended hours and/or weekends as required by deadlines and event scheduling

This role is a Part-Time, Non-Exempt opportunity that is not eligible for Company Benefits, 401K, and PTO. The schedule for this position is dependent on our team schedule and is subject to change.
