Position Profile: Information Technology Seasonal Assistant
Department: Information Technology
Reports to: Director of Service Delivery
Status: Seasonal, Hourly

JOB SUMMARY: The Information Technology Seasonal Assistant will directly assist the Information Technology department on a range of projects, with a primary focus on gameday and event preparation. This individual will have the opportunity to work with other departments that support games and events, while also collaborating with our internal technology teams (Service, Solutions, and Infrastructure) to support the organization’s needs.

The timeframe for this role is expected to run from summer (including training camp) to the end of the football season (including postseason). Hours can be flexible depending on other obligations the applicant may have (e.g. college courses or other education/training) but a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week is ideal.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Prepare communication devices for use before special events and gamedays.
  2. Provide on-site support for devices on gamedays and during events.
  3. Support the transition to and return from Chiefs Training Camp in St. Joseph, MO.
  4. Log and investigate errors and assist support personnel with solutions.
  5. Become proficient in the use of 24/7 software and the 24/7 Communicator application.
  6. Assist with training users in the use of the 24/7 Communicator application.
  7. Provide feedback on ways the organization can better utilize the 24/7 application.

COMPETENCIES:

  1. Occasional need to move and lift computer equipment, such as printers and tablet carts.
  2. Ability to juggle multiple tasks/demands by establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  3. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  4. Robust organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Capacity to work with others in a professional and courteous manner.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from a technical training program or a Bachelor's program, with a concentration/focus in information technology (or related field).
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and iOS devices preferred.

HOURS REQUIRED:

  • Primarily Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm but schedule should be flexible to accommodate special events (such as training camp or concerts) as well as gamedays
