The Indiana Fever Operations Season Associate is a seasonal position responsible for assisting the Indiana Fever Basketball Operations department in distributing and maintaining inventory for all equipment related to the Fever Basketball Team during the months of April through October. In addition, this position assists with daily team operations needs for the Fever and visiting teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with inventory and organization of all equipment related to the team including player uniforms, practice gear, shoes, travel bags, etc.
  • Assist with daily laundry for the Fever and laundry for the visiting teams.
  • Ensure practice court and game courts are set for practices and home games for the Fever and visiting teams.
  • Assist in practice daily with rebounding, passing, setting up drills, running clocks, and scoreboards, etc.
  • Organize supplies for the Fever and visiting teams such as drinks, basketballs, locker room setup, practice equipment, and other daily needs for players and coaches, athletic training staff and front office staff.
  • Maintain general upkeep and maintenance of player locker room and office spaces such as storage, and re-stocking of toiletry items, towels, beverages, snacks, etc.
  • Supervise team attendants during all home games.
  • Run errands outside the Fieldhouse as directed by coaching staff, basketball staff and athletic training staff.
  • Help Fever coaches and basketball front office staff with daily tasks needed including special projects, player housing, copies, delivery pickups, etc.
  • Available to work long hours, weekends, and holidays and to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple daily tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Experience working with a Division 1 or professional basketball program as a student manager, in operations, equipment or as a player is preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Employee should have a knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Word, the Internet and Microsoft Office products.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Manager, Clients, Customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Knowledge to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as basic mathematical concepts and analyzing costs.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret directions.

PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS:

Employee works independently most of the time, so must be able to resolve issues and problems on their own without supervision.
