SUMMARY
This position is internally known as, Campus Maintenance Engineer, and is focused on all maintenance aspects of the external campus for Pacers Sports & Entertainment (PSE). This includes Bicentennial Unity Plaza and the exterior spaces around Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Ascension St Vincent Pacers Training Facility. The Bicentennial Unity Plaza will be open from dawn to evening and as such this position could work alternative shifts ranging from early morning to midnight, depending on the day/event load. This position will be responsible for but not limited to the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment, gates and fencing, accessory buildings on the plaza, plaza artwork, basketball court and goals, benches, pavers, sidewalks, planters, landscaping, irrigation, Zamboni room and equipment, lights, ice rink / all rink accessories, ice rink chiller and ice resurfacing during ice skating events. This could include oversight of contractors hired to complete some of the work. This position will also be cross-trained to assist with the maintenance of all the internal Campus facilities, including Gainbridge Fieldhouse and Ascension St Vincent Pacers Training Facility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 5-7 years of relevant experience. Experience/training in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Basic to moderate computer skills are required. Experience with the MS Office suite of products - especially Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret plans, instructions, and reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills are required, including the ability to use and read rulers and other measuring devices, interpret technical diagrams and reports and read architectural and engineering plans.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret directions.
PROBLEM SOLVING REQUIREMENTS
Employee must exercise independent judgement for a multitude of scenarios that include knowing when to call for assistance with an issue. If working during events, the employee normally is not directly supervised, but will coordinate with the other engineer(s) on duty and report major issues/incidents to the engineering supervisor, event supervisor and / or the event coordinator.
