The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park. The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Houston Dynamo Football Club is seeking an individual to join our creative team as a Multimedia Specialist. This role is creating media collateral for the HDFC brands’ (Houston Dash, Houston Dynamo, Shell Energy Stadium, Houston Dynamo and Dash Charities). You will be responsible for creating visually engaging, dynamic assets across audio, video animations and interactive multimedia for a variety of audiences, platforms and outcomes. This role will collaborate closely with the creative team to develop and execute compelling concepts that align with brand guidelines. You will directly report to the Creative Director and work closely with the extended marketing, creative and content teams as well as other key departments within the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Apply visual design best practice principles to the design and development of static and interactive elements (graphics, videos, animations, interactive simulations, etc.), while maintaining HDFC brand standards
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
  • Understand and maintain the branding identify strategy for each brand
  • Create multimedia content for a variety of media platforms, including social media, websites, email, App and stadium video boards
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, stadium, communications, partnerships and digital marketing to ensure consistent visual storytelling across various channels
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices incorporating innovative techniques and technologies into projects.
  • Maintain and organize a library of assets, ensuring easy access and efficient workflow for future projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree – required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in multimedia production; sports marketing, team or league, or entertainment experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Slate, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of motion design projects and graphic design, demonstrating creativity, technical skills and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography and visual storytelling Ability to occasionally work evenings, weekends and some holidays
