COMPANY BACKGROUND
The Houston Dynamo Football Club (HDFC) is a multi-faceted organization dedicated to inspiring and supporting soccer participation and growth in Houston, TX and beyond. The Club’s brands include men's and women's professional teams - the Houston Dynamo (MLS) and Houston Dash (NWSL), a development academy, Houston Dynamo Dash Charities, as well as Shell Energy Stadium and Houston Sports Park.

The Club has a rich history, including MLS Cup titles (2006, 2007) and in-season tournament championships for both the Dynamo (2018) and Dash (2020) and is focused on building toward the next championships, inspiring and uniting the city of Houston through the sport of soccer and community outreach, and creating the most inclusive sporting experience and diverse fan base in the city and state.


PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role will deliver project management, strategic planning, coordination, and implementation support to further the Security Department's strategic vision and key organizational initiatives. This position will be the primary contact and interface with our guests. The role is responsible for fostering a best-in-class experience for our guests and ensuring the safety of our facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
β€’ Provide leadership and direction to the Security and Guest Services department.
β€’ Create staffing and security plans for each event and support Operations Staff
β€’ Closely monitor to ensure adherence to budget and bring attention to excessive hours of full-time and part-time staff.
β€’ Assist with preparing the annual operating budget and provide department-specific budget materials for event and security
β€’ Develop, produce, and maintain various staff training documents, including Match Day and Premium Guest Services Staff manuals and other event information documents.
β€’ Coordinate training opportunities, tabletop exercises, discussion-based simulations, etc., to educate staff and enhance operations.
β€’ Responsible for the security at Shell Stadium and managing the temporary security team's responsibilities and hours.
β€’ Assist with developing safety protocols and manuals to support all facilities, disaster and crisis management
β€’ Provides direct oversight for contracted event security partners to provide security and safety standards for all events.
β€’ Oversees and manages the relationship with 24/7 security partners during both event and non-event hours of operation.
β€’ Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
β€’ Bachelor’s in Business, Criminal Justice, or related field.
β€’ 8 years of guest experience security experience, preferably with sports teams, concerts, and other live entertainment events – Required.
