Student Artist - 2024 Astros Mural Wall

The Houston Astros are seeking a local student (or recent graduate) artist to collaborate with them and a local creator in creating the 2024 Astros Mural. This exciting project aims to spread Astros Baseball pride in the ballpark by featuring an Astros-themed mural.

If you’re an aspiring artist in Houston, this is a fantastic opportunity to leave your mark on the city and celebrate the Astros.

This is an unpaid opportunity.

Creative Brief:

The Artist will produce a composition that will highlight the Houston Astros’ 7th consecutive ALCS appearances, including the teams’ two championships in that span of time. This will include representations of the 2022 and 2017 World Series trophies, as well as our four AL Pennant trophies. The mural should also include moments from memorable games played throughout this span of time. For example: Altuve HR to clinch WS, Bregman Game 5 walk-off, Yordan Game 6 HR, etc. Our goal is to make this mural a fan destination on game day and encourage engagement with the Astros brand on all social channels. The concept direction and sketch must be approved by the Houston Astros. Available assets will be provided by the Houston Astros.

Wall specs: 23’ 4” x 17’ 5”
Wall surface: Brick and mortar substrate with a large AC duct obstruction near the peak of the arch.
