Classification: Part-Time/Non-Exempt (TEMP)
Summary/Objective:
The role of a Houston Astroโs part-time analyst is designed to supplement the technical work output of the Research & Development analyst group. This includes taking on ad-hoc projects on request, contributing to ongoing work, and presenting possible new pathways for research. Relevant projects will include (but are not limited to) mechanical/physical models of baseball interactions, biomechanical models of movement, and statistical models of baseball performance.

Qualifications:
Work Environment
This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Along with the potential for tasks in baseball specific training environments and set-up and use of measurement devices within.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, and carry up to 40lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and focused vision.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time position with the expectation of 5-15 hours a week.
Travel
This role may include occasional travel.
