This part-time paid internship will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resources department. This position works 20-29 hours/week.

LOCATION: This position is based onsite at our offices. This is not a remote position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting activities including coordinating resume responses, conducting reference checks when needed, and preparation of recruiting materials and job fairs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Conduct audits as required.
  • Assist with the benefits programs including 401(k), pension, monthly billing reconciliation and FMLA.
  • Organize, create, and manage spreadsheets and documents for various projects.
  • Help coordinate company wellness events.
  • Assist with day-to-day HR administrative needs, including coordination of mailings, new hire materials, filing, and other duties as assigned.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and information.
  • Provide clerical support to the HR department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Currently enrolled in college Human Resources degree program.
  • Prior administrative experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential materials with discretion and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to be available 20 hours/week.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position for periods of time.
  • Ability to focus on projects for periods of time.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Operates in a professional office environment.
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment.

SUPERVISES:This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
