JOB SUMMARY:

Broadcast A/V Engineer (EIC) responsible for supervision of the Packers ST-2110 Tundra Vision scoreboard production system, as well as stadium LED and stadium audio system. Responsibilities include day-to-day maintenance as well as game day prep and live production troubleshooting skills. Experienced engineer should be forward thinking in introducing new products and processes to meet ever-changing industry trends. Candidate must be able to effectively coordinate with vendors, work within timelines, and collaborate with the game presentation staff.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Engineer in Charge (EIC) for Green Bay Packers home games, and other large public events.
  • Supervise the operation, testing, maintenance, and repair of stadium technology infrastructure. This includes scoreboard and in-game entertainment systems, digital signage, club areas, meeting rooms and hospitality spaces, and audio/video presentation systems.
  • Assist in overseeing the technical operation of the Lambeau Field video production facility and scoreboard control room.
  • Work closely alongside the Manager of Game Day Production and Director of Broadcast and Game Presentation to support their event day entertainment, production, and postproduction operations.
  • Encode and export video in multiple formats for delivery to multiple video platforms.
  • Assist with content load in and organization for major events.
  • Provide routine checks, maintenance and coordination of repairs of audio system at Lambeau Field, including speakers, amplifiers, and DSPs.
  • Manage all fiber optic, and low voltage Tundra Vision audio/video cabling, by running periodic cable checks, cleaning, repairing, and replacing any defective cables or connectors.
  • Assist as technical support for the Broadcasting and Special Events departments, including press conferences and other high-profile non-game events.
  • Technical resource for other departments and business units as needed.
  • Conduct research, provide insight on industry trends, as well as potential innovation opportunities within the technology infrastructure.
  • Update and maintain technical drawings related to A/V equipment and cable paths.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET), Electrical Engineering, or equivalent broadcast television and audio-video engineering experience.
  • Five yearsโ€™ experience maintaining and troubleshooting video production facilities.
  • Proficient with live television equipment, including cameras, production switchers, video servers, graphics systems, routing systems, intercom, signal test measurement, broadcast cabling and replay systems.
  • Working knowledge of audio systems, including live front of house mixing, audio processing and transport, system equalization and measurement. (Knowledge of Q-SYS system preferred).
  • Applicants must possess a strong working knowledge of IP/LAN networking technologies. Experience with SMPTE ST-2110 a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the following equipment and systems is preferred: Grass Valley production switcher, Imagine routing, Evertz Dream Catcher, Ross Xpression and Tessera, Riedel Intercom, MADI and AES67 audio including Dante, shared edit storage in an Avid edit environment, and media asset management.
  • Working knowledge of LED video display technology (Daktronics systems knowledge preferred).
  • Experience with schematic and system documentation tools such as CAD, Revit and Visio or their equivalents is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
  • Experience troubleshooting to the component level in a live television production facility.
  • Able to analyze problems, identify solutions and alternatives, assess consequences, and implement recommendations.
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Goal oriented, self-starter with strong work ethic.
  • Position requires non-standard working days and hours. Must be available to work all regular season home games plus any preseason and postseason games. Hours will include nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to the regular work week.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
