In collaboration with the Fulham Football Club Medical Department continue to develop and deliver an efficient and comprehensive medical service which meets the needs of all Fulham Football Club players.
The positions purpose is to assist the Club in continuing to provide one of the most reputable medical services within professional football.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide elite medical assessments, screening and treatments for all first team players as required.
- Consult with players concerning medical and health related matters and ensure all medical procedures are carried out to the highest possible standard of care.
- Communicate effectively with the Head of Medical to ensure all relevant medical, performance and management staff are appropriately informed.
- Ensure the required medical cover and services are provided for all home and away matches and Emergency Action Plans continue to be reviewed and developed.
- Deliver a comprehensive Pre-season screening program for all first team players.
- Carry out detailed Pre-signing medical assessment of all new players.
- Participate in continuous professional development to ensure that current best medical practise is implemented and that a fully integrated medical approach is maintained.
- Support the In-service training of the multi-disciplinary team and ensure the Club and the medical team is kept up to date with relevant medical developments.
- Deliver medical/health education programmes to players.
- Maintain highly professional medical records, ensuring strict medical confidentiality in accordance with the code of professional ethics and data protection legislation.
- Act as an advisor on all levels of the business with regards to medical issues.
- Carry out clinical audits and help develop department medical policies and procedures.

Fulham Football Club acknowledges that everyone has a responsibility for the wellbeing and safety of children, young people and adults at risk who are under the Club’s care or utilising the Club’s facilities.

• To complete the Fulham safer Working Practice Workshop as part of induction and the FA Safeguarding Children
workshop; and
• To monitor repeated incidents of poor behaviour and liaise with their DSO or Head of Safeguarding.
