Sitting within the Operational Services Department, Logistics (along with Guest Operations, Language Services, Accommodation, Transport, and Travel) aims to deliver the most engaging, innovative, and accessible World Cup experience for all athletes, fans, partners, and the community.
Reporting organisationally to the Head of Logistics, the Senior Manager Warehouse will help serve Logistics efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues. This role will be responsible for delivering Warehouse Logistics operations to support a number of stadiums/venues, ensuring a seamless and efficient delivery of services throughout the tournament. Further, this role will oversee a team responsible for Warehouse Logistics operations, under the guidance of the Head of Logistics.
The main responsibilities of the Senior Manager Warehouse for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include:
• Act as the lead Logistics representative for FIFA functions and external stakeholders for Warehouse Logistics operations across Canada, Mexico and USA
• Develop and implement the Warehouse strategy across Canada, Mexico and USA to align with Logistics service levels and ensure cost effective storage solution for FWC2026
• Lead the overall planning, implementation, operational process across all Warehouse Logistics operations to achieve a seamless supply chain solution
• Lead and manage the Warehouse Logistics Team including overseeing health and well-being, effective motivation, setting project goals, training, coordinating work assignments and evaluating performance
• Produce standard operating procedures, workflow charts and communication strategies for the Warehouse(s)
• Foster internal relationships within Logistics and FIFA to conduct space requirements and volume metric exercises on incoming / outgoing FFE, equipment and other commodities
• Achieve departmental financial objectives by participating, planning, and preparing various cost analysis documents; feasibility studies, budget tracking and reconciliation reports; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions while working towards the elimination of product loss and shrinkage
• Produce reports and statistics regularly (in/out status report, dead stock report etc.)
• Work with Material Logistics to develop and manage the FF&E procurement schedule, ensuring that adequate Warehouse space is scoped and available
• In collaboration with the Venue Logistics, Materials and Distribution work streams, coordinate all move orders (from warehouses to venues, venue-to-venue and venue to warehouse.) Remain in constant communication with Venue Logistics to ensure the needs of the venue and functional areas are being met in a timely manner
• In conjunction with the LSP, conduct safety audits on multi-leveled warehouse activities and verify the daily implementation of safety related procedures are communicated and followed
• Quantify Material Handling Equipment (MHE) needs for the warehouse, develop necessary training programs and oversee the planned MHE maintenance schedule
• Establish perimeter security protocols for the Warehouse(s)
• Communicate delivery “volume / pallet / vehicle standards” across Logistics function
• Manage the receipt, storage, distribution, resupply, and recovery of FWC2026 assets and equipment at the Warehouse(s)
• Liaise with Procurement and / or Finance on the payment of commodity Purchase Orders
• Participate in the Logistics Coordination Center ensuring high level of support for Warehouse processes during tournament time
• Enforce the Warehouse Logistics budget, in accordance with the Head of Logistics
• Actively participate in developing strategic plans to fulfil FWC2026 sustainability commitments and goals
• Participate in outreach programs, as required, intended to educate stakeholders on tournament time operations
• Act as first point of contact for Logistics if travelling or based in alternative location
• Maintain daily/weekly logistics situational reporting
• Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain, etc.
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience within Major Event Logistics, planning and delivery phases etc.
• Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable in both upward/downward communication and a desire to go the extra mile
• Ability to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public/private settings as required
• Proven track record in managing complex projects, multi-tasking, and prioritization of tasks and deliverables
• Willing to work to complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to make decisions both independently and within a team environment
• Extremely high attention to detail
• Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
