Reporting organisationally to the Senior Manager, Media Operations & Services, the Senior Manager, Media Services will be a key member of the FIFA26 Operations team, and work in close collaboration with Accreditation, Accommodation, Transport, Catering, Venue Management, Broadcaster Servicing, Host City Rights Management and other key individuals responsible for planning, delivering and managing Media Services for the more than 3000 national and international media expected to attend the FIFA World Cup.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Senior Manager, Media Services for the FIFA World Cup 26β’ include:
β’ Manage the Media Services team, including a Media Services Manager in each Host Country.
β’ Develop a comprehensive and unified media servicing strategy for the three host countries to align with the event's goals.
β’ Ensure consistent delivery of services across various tournament venues, ensuring a standardized experience for all media professionals.
β’ Scope media-dedicated services for the three host countries, ensuring consistency across all tournament venues.
β’ Liaise with the host countries to define an efficient visa strategy and implementation of visa procedure for media representatives.
β’ Coordinate with logistics to define appropriate custom procedures for media representatives to bring professional equipment in and out of the host countries during and after the tournament. This includes travels between the 3 host countries.
β’ Implement accreditation process in collaboration with the FIFA Zurich Media Operations and Services team and the Accreditation team.
β’ Plan transport services for media representatives across all tournament venues.
β’ Identify media Accommodation options and scope services linked to it.
β’ Liaise with the Host Cities Media Manager to define media-dedicated services.
β’ Support in the implementation of Media Ticketing.
β’ Facilitate a seamless integration between media operations and media services, optimising workflows to deliver the highest level of support and services to accredited media representatives.
β’ Enforce consistent delivery of services across various venues, ensuring a standardized experience for all media professionals.
β’ Create a uniform pricing strategy for catering services, accounting for the tournament's geographical scope and regional variations.
β’ Create inventive and budget-conscious media gift and incentive ideas tailored for accredited media representatives.
Our requirements:
β’ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
β’ Higher education qualification in media or sports event management
β’ 5+ years' experience in the sports industry, with an emphasis on media operations & services
β’ 3-5 years' experience in sports project management, preferably in football
β’ Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
β’ Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
