Reporting organisationally to the Senior Manager, PMA Logistics the Regional Manager, PMA Logistics will be a key member of the FIFA26 Logistics team, and work in close collaboration with FIFA Zurich key collaborators and other key individuals responsible for delivering the PMA Logistics operations across the USA, within venues including stadiums, airports, team base camp training sites and team base camp hotels to ensure a seamless and efficient delivery of logistics services throughout the tournament.
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Regional Manager, PMA Logistics for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
• Serve as the primary Logistics representative for FIFA functions and external stakeholders for Participating Member Associations (PMA) Logistics operations at assigned group of venues in the USA.
• Support the overall planning, implementation, operational process across all PMA Logistics activities to achieve a seamless supply chain solution.
• Proactively participate in drafting and establishing the PMA specific logistics policies and procedures, including communication and escalation protocols, relevant to the movement of teams to/from airports, team base camps, training sites and match locations.
• Deliver agreed logistics service levels and ensure integration across all FWC2026 PMA activities in Canada, Mexico, and USA
• Liaise closely with Team Services, Security and Event Transport regarding the planning of movements of PMAs throughout the duration of their tournament.
• Support the development and implementation of strategic plans for Roaming Team across all sites to ensure agreed Logistics services levels are maintained.
• Manage the PMA Logistics Team and Roaming Team including overseeing health and well-being, effective motivation, setting project goals, coordinating work assignments, and evaluating performance.
• Build and implement the PMA Logistics staffing requirements, to align with agreed PMA service levels, across all equipment movements.
• Assist with the recruitment of the PMA Logistics and Roaming Team Workforce, including all permanent staff required to support PMA Logistics activities.
• Monitor and perform quality assurance checks on the recruitment of temporary PMA staff and drivers and ensure they are trained in logistics policies and procedures.
• Support the enforcement of the PMA Logistics budget, in collaboration with the Senior Logistics Manger and Head of Logistics.
• Manage the implementation of the PMA Logistics operating plans; develop departmental policies/procedures; and departmental staff orientation/training.
• Actively participate in developing strategic plans to fulfil FWC2026 sustainability commitments and goals.
• Actively participate in developing draft Health & Safety documentation and ensure teams are adequately trained.
• Participate in outreach programs, as required, intended to educate PMAs on tournament time operations.
• Liaise with Venue Logistics on the Load in/out strategy for Roaming Team by cost effectively utilizing staff and procured/existing furniture/equipment collaborating with Logistics work streams, partners, and stakeholders to deliver an integrated supply chain.
• In conjunction with Event Transport, Security, and Team Services, support the establishment of the routes for Team movements throughout the Host City footprint.
• Define an operational baseline for PMA movements with FIFA/Team Services; and in conjunction with Finance and the LSP and assist in implementing a system to capture, record, and recover “Rate Card” services for additional PMA services/resources, as required.
• Work with Team Services representatives to schedule and dispatch according to transportation requirements.
• Track movements and directly communicate with PMA teams as required.
• Use efficient delivery methods to minimize costs and operational inefficiencies.
• Oversee the administration of the system designed to capture “Rate Card” funds from PMA clients.
• Act as first point of contact for Logistics if traveling or based in an alternative location.
• Maintain daily/weekly logistics situational reporting
• Batchelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain etc.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Major Event Logistics, planning and delivery phases etc.
• Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable across all levels of communication and a desire to go the extra mile.
• Ability to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public/private settings as required.
• Proven track record in managing complex projects, multi-tasking, and prioritization of tasks and deliverables.
• Willing to work to complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, ability to make decisions both independently and within a team environment
• Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
