Sitting within the Operational Services Department, Logistics (along with Guest Operations, Language Services, Accommodation, Transport, and Travel) aims to deliver the most engaging, innovative, and accessible World Cup experience for all athletes, fans, partners, and the community.
Reporting organizationally to the Regional Manager, Venue Logistics, the Manager, Venue Logistics will help serve Logistics efforts for the FIFA World Cup 2026 that for the first time ever, is hosting 48 Teams and 1,200+ players across 3 countries and 16 venues. This role will be responsible for supporting venue logistics operations within a venue, to ensure a seamless and efficient delivery of services throughout the tournament. Further, this role will oversee a team responsible for venue logistics operations, under the guidance of the Regional Manager, Venue Logistics.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities of the Manager, Venue Logistics for the FIFA World Cup 2026 include:
- Act as the lead logistics representative for Venue Logistics within the assigned venue(s)
- Lead the overall planning, implementation, operations and dissolution process across the assigned venue(s) activities to achieve a seamless supply chain solution.
- Build strong relationships with internal FIFA functions, external stakeholders and FIFA Client Groups to capture and assess their requirements, and to develop efficient plans and processes for the receipt, storage, distribution, re-supply and dissolution of their goods at the assigned venue(s)
- Manage in venue operational planning and resource scoping sessions to obtain requirements and in-turn communicate the Logistics operational plan, Logistics policies and procedures and agreed service levels.
- Lead and manage the venue logistics team including management of health and well-being, effective motivation, setting project goals, coordinating work assignments and evaluating performance.
- Develop and manage delivery schedules for bump-in, re-supply, and bump-out of your venue whilst identifying cost effective measures for utilizing staff and equipment.
- In collaboration with Venue Management, Overlay Technical services, support in the design of logistics compounds and venue storage facilities to enable a safe, efficient flow of goods within the venues.
- Manage asset tracking (including Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment (FF&E)), distribution in venue, setup/breakdown of spaces and return of materials post tournament.
- Manage information flow to all Functional Areas with regards to Venue Logistics operations and Security protocols relating to the delivery of materials to the assigned venue(s)
- Support with the recruitment of Deputy Venue Logistics Managers and the design and implementation of on venue logistics training
- Maintain plans to fulfil Qatar 2022 FIFA FWC sustainability commitment of minimizing waste and maximizing revenue through the effective post-event dissolution of assets.
- Help with coordination and implementation of the Logistics operational plans, policies and procedures across bump-in/out, re-supply and dissolution phases.
- Assist and liaise with the Logistics work streams (i.e., Customs & Freight Forwarding, Material Management, Warehousing, Distribution, Venues, LCC) with their requirements to support a cost effective and operationally viable end-to-end Logistics operation.
- Provide leadership, training and monitoring of deployed staff, ensuring the highest possible workplace health and safety protocols
- Champion the implementation of the FWC2026 integrated venue delivery timeline which serves as the “single source of truth” across all venue operations.
- Actively participate in meeting FWC2026 sustainability commitments and goals of minimizing waste and maximizing revenue through the effective post-tournament dissolution of assets
- Manage the receipt, storage, distribution, resupply, and recovery of FIFA logistics assets and equipment at the assigned venue(s) during bump-in/out and tournament time.
- Participation in Test Events
- Maintain daily/weekly logistics situational reporting.

YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Logistics, Supply Chain, etc.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Major Event Logistics, planning and delivery phases etc.
- Team player with a strong customer-service focus, comfortable in both upward/downward communication and a desire to go the extra mile.
- Ability to present and clearly communicate to audiences in a multitude of public/private settings as required.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, multi-tasking, and prioritization of tasks and deliverables.
- Willing to work to complex, tight, immovable timelines while maintaining a positive attitude, exhibiting patience, persistence and experience working in a multi-cultural, multi-national environment.
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to make decisions both independently and within a team environment.
- Extremely high attention to detail
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
