Job Summary:
This position is designed to assist with department operations, programs, planning, and general office responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with supporting all Detroit Tiger player and staff needs including roster preparation, player files, preparing daily game reports, and various duties from Player Development staff domestic & international (Front Office, Coordinators, Managers, Coaches, and Support Staff.)
- Summarize game reports and distribute to organizational personnel.
- Minor League Spring Training, Major League Spring Training, and off-season camp assistance as needed.
- The assistant will also be responsible for coordinating player travel, assisting Florida Complex League operations, and communicating with facility operations staff.
- Assist with airport transportation for staff and players as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task\
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in speaking Spanish is preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Working Conditions:
- Office environment
- Evening, weekend, and holiday hours will be required
- May be required to stand, sit and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time
- Must be willing to relocate to Lakeland, FL
- Must be available full-time
