Position Overview:
The Match Presentation & Entertainment Intern will assist with all facets of matchday entertainment, content and live production. This position provides administrative, logistical, and creative support to the Director, Match Presentation & Entertainment to develop and execute an engaging in-stadium experience for Chicago Fire fans. This internship will run from the pre-season through to the conclusion of our season, offering you the unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience throughout the entire cycle of our operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute creative and original ideas for partner activations, in-match features and additional in-match elements
  • Research, book and communicate with matchday talent such as entertainers, national anthem performers, and color guards
  • Assist in quality control of videoboard elements including CG, lower thirds and fascia LED
  • Ensure all graphical elements are properly sized and labeled; assist with content load-in process
  • Manage credential, ticket and parking distribution processes
  • Assemble and print matchday production documents including run of show, PA/host scripts and staff sheet
  • Attend all pre-match meetings; serve as lead stage manager during match
  • Lead execution of live elements including on-pitch recognitions, partner activations and other entertainment elements
  • Collaborate with matchday staff to complete tasks and promote a positive and efficient on-pitch environment
  • Manage maintenance and inventory of department’s supplies, props, etc.
  • Additional duties and projects as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Prior experience in presentation, production or live entertainment is strongly preferred
  • Ability to quickly assess and respond to changing situations
  • General MLS and soccer knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with ShoFlo scripting software
  • Baseline knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time; can lift 20+ pounds
  • Must display a strong work ethic and desire to build a career in professional sports
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings, including all home games (or other work events) that fall on nights, weekends, and/or holidays
