Chicago Fire Football Club is a Major League Soccer team that was founded in 1997 and is Chicago’s ambassador to the global sport of soccer. The Club returned to Soldier Field as well as opened a new 50,000 square foot office in the heart of the city. With tremendous growth and expansion, the Club is laying the foundation for an audacious and ambitious vision that will transform the brand and the success of the Club in the coming years.

Position Overview:

Chicago Fire Football Club is seeking a dedicated Data Analyst to join our team! As a Data Analyst, you'll be instrumental in leveraging data and technology to drive business strategies and enhance operational efficiencies. Your skills in data analytics, data modeling, database management, engineering, and app development will be key to optimizing our commercial activities, improving fan engagement, and supporting the broader business objectives. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise to the dynamic and passionate world of soccer, impacting the business side of the sport.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify business and technical requirements for solutions and translate to accurate answers, valuable insights, on-time information, and actionable conclusions
  • Systematically assess the quality and completeness of available data
  • Expand database concepts and develop analytical models to further business performance
  • Use an analytics-driven approach in analyzing business problems
  • Implement statistical methodologies to predict, forecast, or diagnose business outcomes
  • Interpret and validate analysis results
  • Build processes to increase efficiencies across technology platforms
  • Communicate insights through data visualizations and storytelling
  • Present findings and recommendations to bring about insights for decision making

Qualifications:
Required

  • Practical experience with analytics tool(s): Python, R, SAS, Stata, etc.
  • Proficient in programming language SQL
  • Base knowledge of CRM systems
  • Working knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau or Power BI
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel; Strong Power Point skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to meet firm deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously and use excellent judgment in escalating issues to supervisors
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, high-performing work environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, business, economics, or a related field

Preferred

  • Masters Degree or currently obtaining a Masters Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a sports organization’s front office
  • Experience in using Salesforce
