The Chicago Bulls Entertainment & Events team is seeking a Seasonal Associate for the 2023-24 season. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter who is creative, dedicated, and passionate about gaining firsthand game entertainment and event production experience. In this role, you will be given the outstanding opportunity to assist with game programming and stage managing to effectively build an engaging fan experience. Our team is committed to building a fan experience that is fun and entertaining, utilizing current pop culture trends and innovative production technology to help us create the ultimate home-court advantage for our basketball team.

This position will start in September 2023 and continue until the conclusion of the 23-24 season.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Entertainment & Events Associate, you will be part of a dynamic, dedicated, and lively team. You can expect to assist the team's efforts that are both in line with the Bulls brand strategy and positively represents the City of Chicago. Responsibilities include the following:

  • Assist in preparation of entertainment and sponsored elements for all Chicago Bulls home games and team events, as outlined by the Senior Manager of Game Production & Entertainment Relations and Senior Manager of Event Production & Activation Strategy.

  • Serve as a game runner, stage manager, or production associate at all home games including set-up and execution of game-breaks (activities, contests, entertainment groups, promotions, etc.).

  • Prepare and coordinate administrative materials (e.g. rundowns and scripts) for department and game hosts prior to each game production meeting.

  • Create and distribute day-of-game entertainment credentials, performer/staff tickets, scoreboard messages and locker room assignments.

  • Assist in execution of video shoots (Media Day, Mascot video routines, All-Star Balloting video elements, etc.).

  • Help maintain season-long game programming schedule.

  • Assist in implementation of pregame activities on court (pregame group events, sound-checks, rehearsals, special ceremonies, Opening Night, Fan Scrimmage, etc.) or on concourse/Atrium (Atrium Theme Night Performances)

  • Support auditions for various performance groups (Luvabulls, Incredibulls, etc.).

  • Assist in the execution of team-related events and event transportation (e.g. Bulls Road Watch Parties, Corporate Partnership events, Community Relations events, etc.)

  • Support Costume Coordinator and Event Coordinator in procuring, tracking, and moving prop and equipment inventory, as well as miscellaneous maintenance tasks, as needed

  • Prepare end-of-season project on topic agreed upon with Senior Manager of Game Production & Entertainment Relations and Senior Manager of Event Production & Activation Strategy to present to Entertainment Department upon completion of the season.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in sports, entertainment or events related field

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task

  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate articulately and confidently, both verbally and in writing, within the team and in front of fans and other stakeholders

  • Working experience with ShoFlo a plus

  • Has sports knowledge; basketball knowledge a plus

  • This is not a 9-to-5 position. This role requires flexible work hours and will include time outside of normal office hours during the business week, including weekends and holidays.
