Position Overview

Are you a positive and hardworking individual that is passionate about IT and looking to gain some further experience supporting a hands-on and collaborate IT team? Our IT Support Specialist provides support to our IT team in providing customer service for all Help Desk requests, computer system and device support issues, and all client support for our infrastructure and core business supported systems. You will work closely with a strong team of Windows System Administrators/Engineers to maintain and improve an existing computer network infrastructure within a heterogeneous mix of computing hardware and software platforms, including servers and workstations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all IT-related inquires and issues from internal staff.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and solving complex problems with root cause analysis
  • Communicate problems and provide efficient solutions both verbally and in writing to both customers and management
  • Create and follow standard processes, plan effectively to complete tasks on schedule, and clearly document all results
  • Assist with the on-boarding of new users, including PC setup and deployment for new employees
  • Support upgrades/updates for all client computers and tablets to include operating systems, applications, device drivers and firmware updates
  • Assist with computer imaging and new user hardware/software setups
  • Assist with Microsoft Office 365 application deployment and support and research and provide solutions for end user requests and issues within Microsoft Office 365 Environment
  • Assist with the administration of the client monitoring, endpoint security, and vulnerability detection systems in the department
  • Solid understanding of iOS & Android mobile devices
  • Provide after-hours / weekend support as required for arena events, NBA games, third-party sporting events, and the retail operations
  • Familiarity with network related troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring tools
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills, Experience, and Abilities

(To perform the job successfully, the candidate should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this job.)

  • 2+ years of help desk experience in corporate setting
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple concurrent assignments
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience with Mac OSX is a plus
  • A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician Certifications are a plus
  • Excellent communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
  • Planning and organizing, can prioritize work activities; uses time efficiently and is self-motivated
  • Dependability โ€“ consistently at work on time, follow policy and direction, responds to managerโ€™s instructions
  • Interpersonal skills โ€“ listens to others, contributes and works well in a collaborative environment
  • Detail Oriented โ€“ Accuracy and careful attention to detail is of utmost importance
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products including word, excel, powerpoint, SharePoint, as well as, PowerApps, MS Intune, Microsoft Teams
  • MS Server 2019 or later and Active Directory Administration
  • Some heavy lifting is required
  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, nights, weekends, all arena events and home games
  • Ability to travel occasionally
