Guest Experience Hospitality Gameday Internship 2024

Are you looking to gain experience in the sports & hospitality industry? The Baltimore Ravens Guest Experience department is looking for those majoring in either Sports Management, Hospitality or a related field who would like to receive hands on experience in sports by operating our Club Level Guest Experience at M&T Bank Stadium on gameday.

Our focus in Guest Experience is to ensure our guests and team members are given a memorable and hassle-free experience on gameday and during all events that the Baltimore Ravens host.

Program Overview

  • Learn about the Ravens Organization Mission Statement, Common Purpose, Quality Standards and Service by attending Welcome to the Flock training and up to 2 additional trainings.
  • Work all Ravens home games in a Guest Service Ambassador role on our Club Level to learn how we handle guest concerns, collaborate with stadium partners and create memorable experiences.
  • Learn the Hassle-Free philosophy of the Guest Experience Department.

Duration (Ability to work June to Late January)

  • Welcome To the Flock Training and Season Kickoff Training – (July, August)
  • Training Camp – End of July to Mid-August
  • Preseason Games (August)
  • Soccer Match (August 6th)
  • All Ravens Home Games (September to January)
  • Home Post-Season Games (TBD, January)
  • 3-5 Special Events (TBD, throughout season)

Professional Development

All students in the program will participate in professional development opportunities such as resume writing, interviewing, job searching and networking sessions. All participants will also be invited to the M&T Bank Stadium for a tour and Q&A session.

End of Season Project

All participants in the program will be tasked with completing a project based on their experience. The project should cover a range of items such as the goals that were set at the beginning of the program, skills/lessons that were learned during the program, any changes that they would make to the program, etc. Specific details on the project and presentation will be given at the beginning of the program.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Guest Service Ambassador duties include, but are not limited to ticket scanning, assisting with stadium knowledge, solving and addressing guest issues, assisting with ADA needs, creating memorable experience for guests and team members.
  • High Level of guest engagement and interactions to assist with guests needs.
  • Ability to retain extensive knowledge of M&T Bank Stadium to include event information, directions, stadium information, parking, food & beverage offerings, etc.
  • Work closely with all Stadium Partners and Ravens staff when needed to assist with service recovery or other event issues.
  • Maintain a clean environment – clear tables, collect trash, contact our housekeeping team members to ensure proper presentation of areas as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Students must be entering their Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year of college. Graduation date between Dec 2024 - May 2027.
  • Majoring in Sports Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Must have a letter of recommendation from a professor or advisor.
  • Passion for serving others and providing an elevated personal experience.
  • Natural ability to communicate comfortably and professionally with others.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, professional attitude when working with patrons, regardless of the situation.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, including walking or climbing stairs throughout the stadium or at an event.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to work outdoors in variable temperatures, including extremely hot and cold weather.
  • MUST BE available for all Ravens Home Games (this includes playoff games) and up to 3-5 Special Events: 10 games per season including pre and post season games. Flexible schedule including days, nights weekends and holidays.
