Job Summary:

During major events at State Farm Arena, any incidents that occur will be called into Base Operations via radio or through our incident management system (IMS). When calls come into base, the base operators will dispatch the proper department to respond and take care of the issue. It is the responsibility of this role to ensure calls are being dispatched properly. Follow up will be required for some incidents after the event is over, it will be your responsibility to ensure these items have been entered into our work order system as a work ticket.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service when dealing with arena staff and vendors.
  • Provide information and assistance to dispatchers concerning general assistance needs, emergency needs and security as appropriate.
  • Monitor service requests through 24/7 Software system. Assign/update and closeout as work is performed. Ensure requests are addressed within a timely manner.
  • Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency situations when needed.
  • Review data for accuracy and close out event.
  • Distribute end of event reports to appropriate departments.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Must be able to work 1st and 2nd shifts, be reliable and dependable to cover events. This includes weekends, holidays, and odd hours.
  • Basic computer skills are required. Knowledge of 24/7 Software system preferred.
  • Ability to type between 38 and 40 words per minute (WPM).
  • Ability to keep confidential sensitive information.
  • Must have good communication skills.
  • Great verbal and writing skills with a great deal of accuracy to minimize confusion and misunderstanding.
  • Must be able to accurately complete all necessary forms and paperwork.
  • Must be able to provide quality customer service.

Education and Experience:

  • Some skilled trade experience preferred: Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, and Building Maintenance. This knowledge will be beneficial in this position to help ensure the proper department is dispatched to the incident.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most work is done in an office setting.
