POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Retail Trainee will assist with generating Braves Retail external business, assisting with the oversite of the Threads, by Braves Clubhouse Store, overseeing the phone order and online order business, and assisting with marketing initiatives. This Trainee will join a department that strives to provide a memorable shopping experience for fans visiting Truist Park by providing outstanding customer service and a superior selection of Braves merchandise.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Assist with the day-to-day business of Threads, by Braves Clubhouse Store
- Schedule and supervise part-time staff, assist in-store as needed
- Assist with brainstorming, planning and executing of in-store promotions and events
- Manage daily product merchandising and advise on store needs
- Create and implement daily social media marketing plan for Threads
- Oversee daily phone and online order requests and sales for Braves Clubhouse Store and Threads
- Run daily phone reports and manage part-time staff’s daily tasks
- Receive and approve all product returns/exchanges
- Implement online shop merchandise additions and manage inventory
- Print daily online orders and oversee the processing/shipping of these orders
- Assist Retail Marketing team with daily product photos and monthly photoshoots
- Create all retail promotional graphic designs
- Create daily store signage needs for all retail locations
- Assist with planning and executing of all Retail events and Pop-Up Shops
- Assist with planning and executing mobile retail vehicle events, including but not limited to traveling to offsite events
- Assist with Braves Authentics business, including but not limited to working in-store on game days, processing and shipping orders, and inventory management
- All other duties as assigned
TRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
- College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the company
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent executive presence
- Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays
- Must complete a background check
ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in retail sales, online sales, and/or sports marketing
- Ability to adjust to changing work hours and locations as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Able to lift up to 45lbs
- Able to work long hours, overtime, weekends and occasional holidays
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be comfortable driving a box truck.
- Bachelor’s degree in retail marketing, sports marketing/management preferred
