The Atlanta Braves Trainee Program is designed for applicants who are interested in beginning a career in professional sports. Trainees will work full-time from January 2025 through November 2025. Applicants are encouraged to visit braves.com/trainee for more information prior to applying.

The Event Sales Department is responsible for generating revenue on non-game days within the facility and establishing Truist Park as the year-round venue of choice in Atlanta to host social events, meetings, conventions, tradeshows, festivals, 5Ks and other special events. Truist Park offers 20 indoor event spaces, totaling 80,000 square feet, in addition to opportunities for on-field events and experiences. Our events range in size from 30 to 1,000 attendees. We partner with both our Event Services Team and in-house Caterer to provide unique and service driven events.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Oversee booking calendar and be the liaison between Event Sales and Event Services as it relates to the internal meetings calendar and meeting space
  • Producing Event Sales MLB reports
  • Return incoming calls regarding availability of rental spaces and special events
  • Provide Site tours and proposals to prospective clients
  • Negotiate and Book event space and communicate policies and procedures to potential clients about the venue
  • Support our Group Tours team in generating new revenue streams
  • Assist with coordinating mass mailings and email blasts throughout the year
  • Assist with updating marketing and sales assets throughout the year
  • Keep clients informed of changes regarding Event Sales and provide customer service support (i.e. requested information/answering client questions and distribution of logistical information)
  • Assist with administrative work to include client proposals, contracts, and database entry
  • Assist with new business development via phone or email
  • Other duties include providing support to marketing-related functions, such as tradeshows, expos and other networking events
  • All other duties as assigned

TRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent executive presence
  • Must complete a background check

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work related experience in executing meetings, events or
  • Work related sales or hospitality experience
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Punctual and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
