Background:

Insignia Event Services is a full service event company responsible for producing all events at State Farm Stadium including all Arizona Cardinals games, Fiesta Bowl, Monster Jam and other large scale events held at the stadium. In addition to events at State Farm Stadium, Insignia Event Services exclusively manages Sportsman's Park (SP). Sportsman's Park has been a site for pre-game festivities, tailgating, concerts, festivals, weddings, graduations, corporate events, and other related experiences.

Job Summary:

The Manager, Facilities and Operations - Safety & Security is responsible for a variety of tasks and responsibilities encompassing the operations of safety, security and event/facility management of Insignia Event Services, any venues they utilize, and the employees at said venues. Current venues are in various cities across the greater Phoenix area.

Primary Job Duties:

  • Evaluate security practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law, develop and implement where necessary
  • Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events, day to day operations, and client needs
  • Onsite supervision of contract security personnel including managing schedules
  • Oversee security operations for Insignia Warehouse Facility
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Emergency Action Plans for assigned facility(s)
  • Analyze data to form proposals for improvements
  • Manage incident reporting system
  • Collaborate with the People Team on investigations relating to accidents, safety, and security to find cause and take prevention measures to prevent further incidents
  • Manage and implement education and training course opportunities as well as staff certifications
  • Coordinate with ASM Global Staff on Monthly safety trainings and protocol
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with public safety agencies and other security personnel and/or safety organizations
  • Monitor facility grounds for any safety issues and work with necessary parties to resolve issues
  • Provide on-scene direction and assist responding emergency personnel when required (to include Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement and HAZMAT response teams)
  • Suggestion to combine: Maintain vehicle safety, maintenance, and usage logs for all company vehicles.
  • Provide or arrange escort service to contract personnel and visitors on facility grounds when requested
  • Assist with oversight of video systems, door security (electronic and hard key) system
  • Assist in managing the contract security operations and serve as a liaison through planning, organizing, and directing contract security personnel and activities necessary to establish a safe and secure environment
  • Evaluate current safety plans/procedures and implement necessary changes where necessary ensuring legal compliance
  • Proactively Conduct accident prevention training and health and safety training
  • Inspect equipment for unsafe workplace conditions
  • Be present as safety representative as determined necessary for any situations involving risk
  • Collaborate closely with safety, security personnel of in-stadium partners
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Safety & Security Manager or similar position with responsibilities including safety, risk and security
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations across the greater Phoenix area as needed
  • Experience in emergency response reporting and planning
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining security related systems and technologies
  • Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials and practices
  • High attention to detail and observational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including outlook, word, and excel
  • High aptitude for administrative projects and paperwork
  • CPR training and first aid training
  • Excellent listening, communication, and customer service skills
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work and remain calm in a fast paced and high-pressure environment
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including some nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple entities
  • Ability to maintain professional composure and confidentiality in all situations
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, stand for extended periods of time in fluctuating weather conditions, and move freely on foot around facilities for patrols. High School Diploma required, higher education or training equivalent to an Associate Degree is preferred
