Job Summary:

The Analyst, Email Marketing role coordinates and executes on the Arizona Cardinals Marketing Automation strategy as it relates to all direct marketing channels, with a strong emphasis on email marketing and SMS. The Analyst, Email Marketing position also works closely with Business Intelligence and Strategy, Content & Creative, Ticket Sales and Services, Ticket Operations, Premium & Guest Services, and Corporate Partnerships and activation teams.

Primary Job Duties:

The Analyst, Email Marketing role will have the daily responsibilities including, without the limitation the following:

  • Work with Director of Marketing to develop and execute all email and SMS marketing campaigns; including season ticket holder communications, marketing campaigns, e-commerce, league initiatives, and partner emails.
  • Plan and execute A/B email and SMS tests, report results and make recommendations for improvements based on those results.
  • Manage and optimize the design, content, layout, customer segmentation and messaging strategies for direct marketing communications.
  • Develop/create HTML email templates, recommending template enhancements as needed.
  • Work with internal and external creative resources to develop effective designs for all marketing communications and supporting digital experiences.
  • Must have the ability to articulate and champion email and SMS marketing best practices including consumer consent and privacy, deliverability, mobile optimization, and browser compatibility.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends for tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
  • Collaborate with Business Development team on contract-based partner inclusions and best practices.
  • Analyze and monitor email KPI’s across email and SMS subscription groups, campaigns, and segments.
  • Understand CRM systems/data and effectively translate this knowledge into solutions that automate processes and increase our ability to dynamically personalize communications.
  • Provide specialized expertise for the marketing discipline across acquisition, retention, churn management, deliverability, and TCPA, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM compliance.
  • Work alongside the NFL’s MarTech, Consumer Insights, Data & Analytics, and Privacy and Consent team to manage League initiatives for clubs such as NFL Preference Center, digital marketing tech migrations, 1:1 fan engagement, and Unified View of the Fan.
  • Report monthly on campaign success including sales generated, open rates, click through rates and any suggested actions based on findings.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or university with a major related to marketing, communications, or data science.

  • Experience: 1-3 years of related experience working with Eloqua, Marketo, or other Marketing Automation platform required.

  • Ability to manage relationships with email service providers.
  • Email development and HTML coding.
  • 1-2 years of SQL coding required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Collaborative personality, ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Ability to plan strategically.
  • Knowledge and interest in NFL football.
  • Experience with various photo editing and graphic design tools a plus.
  • Experience with Google Analytics/Adobe Analytics a plus
  • Knowledge of Python and Machine Learning a plus.
  • Experience with Adobe products (i.e. Journey Optimizer, Experience Platform, & Customer Journey Analytics) a plus
  • Experience with a data science platform such as Dataiku or Rapid Minor a plus
  • Experience in sports working with Eloqua Marketing Cloud or Adobe Experience Platform & Journey Optimizer is a plus.
