Title: Manager, Partnerships Solutions

Overview:

The Manager, Partnership Solutions will play an indispensable role, responsible for running point on all inventory management, partnership analytics and data storytelling. This candidate should have a passion for data storytelling with a strong background in uncovering, understanding and manipulating data to tell powerful stories about how our business will deliver against our partners business objectives. This role will be responsible for managing our sellable inventory, delivering strategy and data insights and leading a creative approach to building value for our partners with the skills to source, manage and manipulate data accordingly. The incumbent must possess a sponsorships, analytics and/or marketing background, positive energy, excellent communications and live up to the “4 A’s”.

  • Implement and execute against the sales plan and consistently emphasize prioritization, compartmentalization, and scaling
  • Serve as the department’s chief Data Storyteller – leveraging insights and analytics to tell stories about how and why a partnership with the Washington Commanders will drive each partner’s business forward.
  • Serve as the primary contact with all research partner vendors (e.g, YouGov), providing research and analytics to support all needs of the Partnership Development and Partnership Success Teams inclusive of performance of current partnerships and assets, prospecting and supporting data for sales pitches.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Business Intelligence and CRM departments to oversee our departmental CRM infrastructure in Microsoft Dynamics and KORE.
  • Work closely with the Partnerships Solutions and Partnerships Development team to identify revenue opportunities and monitor league and industry trends to detect opportunities for new sales prospecting.
  • Work alongside the Partnership Development team to assist with research and support for high value assets, projects, and opportunities. As needed be involved on calls and meetings with prospects for these identified opportunities.
  • Through your research, identify strategic growth opportunities for current partner brands and potential partner brands through added asset inventory, platforms, and partnerships.
  • Participate in sales and strategy meetings and provide guidance on the sales positioning,
  • prospecting, and qualifying of potential clients.
  • Provide the Partnership Success (Activation) team with ongoing research, analysis, and insights to impart value to current partners.
  • Be a conduit between Partnerships and the Business Strategy & Analytics department, bridging the technical expertise of data scientists with the marketing initiatives of current and prospective partners.
  • Interpret the data from the Business Strategy & Analytics team and build a story to bring brands to life through our partnerships.
  • Support the Partnerships Development and Success teams throughout the sales process to provide relevant information and guidance as deals get evolved through the states of the sales process.
  • Assist the Partnerships leadership team with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports business management, business analytics or related field; M.B.A. a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience with demonstrated development, management, and execution skills, ideally with understanding of / experience in the sports & entertainment industry
  • Experience with sports & entertainment sponsorship preferred with the ability to develop

creative solutions and packages from brand briefs and data that helps differentiate the

Washington Commanders and build our brand as a world class sales and marketing organization.
