The Role and What You’ll Do:

This executive position plays a pivotal role in guiding our extensive accounting operations, encompassing the consolidation processes for both TKO and its integration into Endeavor, alongside overseeing general and technical accounting of UFC, and ensuring SOX compliance across IT General Controls and Business Processes. The chosen candidate will strategically influence our organization by safeguarding financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and promoting timely financial reporting for UFC and TKO entities.

  • Strategic Leadership: Direct the UFC corporate accounting functions with a strategic vision, ensuring strict adherence to GAAP, and spearheading the development and execution of sophisticated accounting policies and procedures.
  • Comprehensive Oversight: Oversee all UFC general accounting activities, including payroll, financial statement preparation, statutory/regulatory reporting, and more, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency. Will also directly collaborate with the VP of Financial Operations on matters related the AP and AR functions at UFC.
  • Consolidation Process Management: Lead the consolidation process for both TKO and its integration up to Endeavor entities across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, ensuring the delivery of precise and timely financial statements.
  • SOX Compliance and Internal Controls: Architect and oversee a robust internal controls framework to guarantee SOX compliance, covering UFC IT General Controls and Business Processes, as well as TKO Corporate/Reporting Controls as needed.
  • Technical Accounting Advisory: Serve as a key advisor on various technical accounting issues, working closely with the Corporate Technical Accounting Group (CTAG Team) to ensure GAAP compliance and support in the creation of essential technical accounting documentation.
  • Audit and Compliance Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with external auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews, ensuring compliance with GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Strategic Collaborations: Engage with FP&A and operational teams to drive enhancements in financial systems and processes, supporting and enabling strategic business initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain an in-depth understanding of emerging accounting pronouncements and SEC regulations, assessing their impact on the organization and integrating necessary policy adjustments.
  • Technology and Systems Expertise: Oversee and enhance the accounting software infrastructure, encompassing JD Edwards (JDE), Hubble reporting, Concur, and OneMarket, to ensure peak performance, dependability, and seamless integration with our financial workflows and objectives.

You Have These:

  • At least 12 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within a public company or a public accounting firm.
  • Deep understanding of GAAP and SOX compliance is essential.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel, is a must.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and periodic long days.
  • Ability to travel periodically for work.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidential information.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a CPA or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance highly preferred.
