The Administrative Coordinator's primary responsibility is to provide assistance to support the Sporting Kansas City’s vision, mission and goals through planned work activity, while additionally providing support to associates, guests, clients and partners. The Administrative Coordinator creates and disseminates professional and timely communications to all individuals, as well as graciously greet and direct guests, both in person and on the telephone. This role will require hours in office on Thursday and Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage during select home matches.

Essential Functions

  • Perform a variety of clerical duties such as photocopying, creating presentations, and collating.
  • Provide general administrative support to associates.
  • Host and assist in scheduling meetings and events for the team.
  • Compile weekly meeting and event schedules to distribute to all associates.
  • Assist various business associates and groups that visit the office.
  • Generate reports for leadership as requested.
  • Create and distribute memorandums, correspondence, reports and other various documents.
  • Act as the company host by kindly greeting all associates by name, welcoming guests and assisting partners in a friendly, hospitable manner.
  • Politely and professionally answer all phone calls and direct the calls as appropriate.
  • Receive, sort and forward all incoming mail.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, as well as manage the general functions of the facility.
  • Direct all visitors to their appropriate destination, recording names and affiliations as necessary.
  • Ensure all doors are locked at appropriate times.
  • Perform regular building walkthroughs for pristine needs, reporting any issues that may need to be addressed.
  • Continually raise the bar to enhance the associate, guest, and partner experience.
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Match Day Responsibilities

  • Full-time associates act as representatives of Sporting Kansas City at select home matches.
  • Perform an on-call duties necessary.
  • Provide support with the scheduling and hosting of guests in The Victory Suite as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or G.E.D. Certificate required.
  • Experience working in a customer service or administrative role.
  • Extensive vocabulary.
  • Writing, proofing and editing abilities.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar.
  • This role requires hours in office on Thursday and Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage during select home matches.
