RAVE Foundation is the official charitable arm of Seattle Sounders FC and believes that soccer is a vehicle to empower and inspire. RAVE removes barriers to participation on and off the soccer field, while supporting and strengthening our local communities.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Executive Director of RAVE Foundation will work in tandem with the RAVE Board of Trustees and the RAVE Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership to support the growth and sustainability of RAVE Foundation. To make an impact in this role, you must be able to uphold and communicate the mission and vision of RAVE Foundation, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, lead strategic planning efforts, fundraise effectively, and collaborate on, inform and support Sounders FC business planning using an entrepreneurial mindset.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve the RAVE Board as nonprofit expert and as main leader for Board of Trustees.
  • Oversee donor relationships, cultivation and management.
  • Drive RAVE strategic planning to ensure program alignment to RAVE mission and vision.
  • Direct RAVE Fields and inform and guide RAVE creation and implementation of RAVE Programs.
  • Lead major gifts fundraising initiative and relationships.
  • Oversee other fundraising efforts including grant writing, events, matchday initiatives, digital campaigns, and other opportunities that arise.
  • Work with VP of Social Impact/ED of RAVE to align and collaborate with Sounders FC on impact, corporate partner and community initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain budget to execute priorities while ensuring financial responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop RAVE Fundraising & Communications Manager to achieve department objectives while fostering a culture that prioritizes teamwork and collaboration, employee well-being and continuous learning and development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in nonprofit development or community relations.
  • Proven people manager who has recruited and led high performing, diverse teams.
  • Notable experience in process and project management.
  • Extensive latitude for independent judgment and decision making.
  • Strong collaboration internally and externally to grow and build upon RAVE and Sounders social justice commitments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This is a hybrid position working from home and from Sounders FC Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton WA and attending meetings and matches as needed.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
  • Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PERKS

Seattle Sounders FC offers competitive compensation and an engaging, supportive environment that prioritizes the health and well-being of our people.

The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - 105,000 and eligible for bonus opportunity. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
