About the San Jose Earthquakes:

The San Jose Earthquakes have a mission to establish our home as the epicenter of American soccer by uniting Northern California with big dreams, big hustle, and big impact. We are seeking an Account Executive, Group Sales who can cultivate relationships with various communities, generate new business while simultaneously servicing existing clients, and can communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

About the Position:

We are looking for a self-starter to become our Account Executive, Group Sales who can prospect new business opportunities and can think outside the box. This person will provide first-class customer service in all aspects of the job and has initiative to prospect new business opportunities. We are looking for someone who possesses strong communication skills and can build strong relationships in the San Jose community. This person will report to the Manager, Group Sales.

Successful Candidates:

A successful candidate in this role is someone who can create and maintain relationships with group leaders to maximize group sales revenue and create meaningful experiences at each Earthquakes home game. This person will be able to confidently manage multiple deadlines, stay organized, and collaborate with their team members.

  • Generate group and season ticket revenue via outbound calls, emails, out of office meetings, and stadium tours.
  • Actively prospect new group business opportunities.
  • Build and manage a multi-year book of business.
  • Develop new and creative methods to boost group ticket revenue.


  • Bachelor's degree with academic success required.
  • Sales experiences with a track record of significant revenue production.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Proven self-motivator and self-starter.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours and weekends required.
  • Passion for and knowledge of MLS and the San Jose Earthquakes preferred.
  • Bilingual a plus.

Salary: $45,000 + commission
