SUMMARY

Real Salt Lake is looking to add a Digital Content/Mobile App Specialist to join our growing Marketing Department. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative digital teammate to help grow our fan base, drive revenue, and push the RSL and Utah Royals brand forward. This role will be responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of digital media channels, including website and app platforms, for RSL, Utah Royals, Real Monarchs, RSL Academy, America First Field, and Zions Bank Training Center. The person in this role is passionate about the brand and product, curious, thoughtful and understands the importance of process, deadlines, and accountability. This individual should have technical proficiency, the ability to recommend strategic initiatives for audience growth, and experience in email marketing, including HTML/CSS code and Salesforce expertise a plus.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Oversee and execute the build-out, content publishing, management, troubleshooting, and execution of our new mobile application.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the app in collaboration with sponsorship, ticketing, operations, MLS, NWSL, and more.
  • Ensure websites and mobile apps align and prioritize business needs, including news updates, features, and partnered, graphic and/or written content.
  • Create compelling assets and inventory for sale to partners and manage inventory to maximize for corporate partners on website and app.
  • Manage website and app content direction and functionality while collaborating with the creative teams to enhance user experience and increase traffic and time spent on platforms
  • Work with Business Intelligence and Ticketing teams to appropriately support and maximize ticketing initiatives and revenue.
  • Provide real-time coverage of live team events and functions across web, app and social media.
  • Manage and maintain the monitoring and analytics systems to track engagement and results, using this information to increase website and app value and usability.
  • Support marketing brand campaigns with web and mobile app strategy and execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Web Design, Web Development, Business Administration, Marketing, CMS Management, or related fields.
  • In-depth knowledge of website CMS systems (such as FORGE or similar), basic HTML, UI/UX concepts as applied to web and mobile applications and/or mobile app interfaces such as Yinzcam
  • Analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from web analytic platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and web design or layout
  • Prior experience with content management software or mobile app.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
  • Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Must have strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Must have a positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and eagerness to learn.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends to accommodate the Teams' schedules.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sports, media, technology, or related fields.
  • 2+ years’ experience in digital operations, web design, website maintenance, CMS management, graphic design and/or mobile applications..
  • Web Design experience a plus.
  • Photoshop experience is a plus.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 25 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
