SUMMARY

The Club is hiring a Community Relations Intern, that will assist in planning and executing community events, fundraisers, and innovative programs connecting the club with the local community. Respond to donation requests, collaborate with marketing for event coverage, and coordinate player appearances. This internship offers a unique opportunity to actively contribute to the Club's commitment to community engagement and positive impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Contributes to the planning and flawless execution of community events and RSL Foundation fundraisers.
  • Handles the fulfillment and response to donation requests, strengthening the team's engagement with the community.
  • Plays a role in creating innovative programs that enhance the bond between the club, players, and staff with the local community.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to ensure comprehensive coverage of community events and programs.
  • Attends both stadium and off-site community events, representing Real Salt Lake & Utah Royals with enthusiasm and professionalism.
  • Assists in coordinating monthly autograph sessions and ensuring a seamless process.
  • Facilitates player, staff, and mascot appearances at various community events, promoting the team's involvement and positive impact.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in sports, community relations, and/or marketing/event management.
  • Highly organized with proven time management skills and experience creating efficient systems to juggle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships throughout the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize work and show independence, resourcefulness and flexibility, in addition to fostering a team environment among marketing team members.
  • Possesses a spirit of flexibility, a positive outlook, and the ability to move projects forward with urgency and cooperation
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends to support game day.
  • Able to successfully pass a background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 15 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 20 pounds or exerting heavy force, in a wide disparity or environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, etc.
