SUMMARY:

The Academy Team Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the RSL Academy by coordinating logistics and communication for matches and training. This position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is committed to ensuring a seamless experience for players and their families. The ideal candidate excels in managing schedules, facilitating travel arrangements, and handling game-day responsibilities, all while promoting a positive and safe atmosphere for student-athletes. This role is essential in fostering the development of young talent and maintaining the high standards of the RSL Academy.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Coordinates logistics for all RSL Academy domestic and international matches, including but not limited to hotels, flights, ground transportation, training facilities, rental cars, meals, trip itineraries, etc.
  • Coordinates daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for RSL Academy in conjunction with facilities, grounds crew, Levy, department heads, coaching staff, and other team administrators.
  • Communicates schedules to respective parties daily, weekly, and monthly as necessary.
  • Travels to RSL Academy trips throughout the season.
  • Submits receipts to the RSLTA accounting department in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates relocation into the market for all new Academy players in conjunction with the Head Academy Team Administrator.
  • Completes new player onboarding paperwork.
  • Conducts all game-day responsibilities as necessary, including but not limited to DMR (official gameday lineup sheets), pre-match coordination meetings, etc.
  • Work with RSL Academy staff, the Academy Director, and Salt Lake Academy High School to ensure players fulfill their academic, citizenship, and soccer responsibilities in the market and while the team is on the road.
  • Act as the liaison between students, their parents, and any facet of the Club they may have questions about or need to work with.
  • Proactively ensures the safety and security of student-athletes for the RSLTA.
  • Maintains awareness of residents' special circumstances (i.e., health concerns, peak stress times, emotional difficulties, academic problems, etc.) and refers or connect individuals to resources as appropriate.
  • Transports students for local trips.
  • Assists in managing crises and reporting emergencies or serious illnesses.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have general knowledge of MLS policies and procedures.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Must be able to travel with the team as needed.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as needed.
  • Must be able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong time management skills, administrative aptitude, organization, and customer service skills
  • Must successfully pass a background check and become Safe Sport certified.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preference is given to individuals with previous experience managing the operations and travel logistics of a collegiate or professional sports team.
  • Spanish bilingualism is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 50 pounds or exerting heavy force in a wide variety of environmental conditions. The job involves standing, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, typing, etc.
