Job Summary
The Business Intelligence Intern will utilize analytical and strategy skills to conduct research, analyze insights, and manage reporting that impacts all areas of Business Operations. They will tactically assist the Business Intelligence team to fulfill data, reporting, and analysis requests in an accurate and timely manner. The ideal candidate is excited to deliver results on impactful problems under the mentorship of the Business Intelligence team.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the gathering, processing, reporting, and analysis of Pirates ticket sales information.
  2. Assist in campaign related activities in the sales database and online.
  3. Collaborate with Manager, Revenue Optimization to monitor campaign performance across digital ads, email, and social media.
  4. Collaborate with Business Intelligence team to maintain existing reporting.
  5. Collaborate with Data Coordinator to manage ongoing reporting and data requests.
  6. Research market and industry trends for benchmarking.
  7. Other duties as assigned by manager and Business Intelligence team.


Qualifications
Required:

  1. Authorized to work lawfully in the United States.
  2. Must be a junior, senior, or graduate level student.
  3. Candidates majoring in Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, Marketing, or related areas.
  4. Experience working with large data sets.

Desired:

  1. Knowledge of cloud computing platform such as Google Cloud Big Query or AWS.
  2. Familiarity with at least one statistical programming language (e.g. R, Python).
  3. Familiarity with data visualization software, such as Tableau or similar.
  4. Experience with ticketing data.
