Job Description:

The New York Mets are committed to nurturing talent and enhancing player performance. We are currently seeking a dedicated Player Development Associate to support the technological and operational needs at our various Minor League affiliates. This position will play a crucial role in working alongside our central Player Development team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations at these affiliates. The Player Development Associate will work closely with coaches and support staff on-site to contribute to the overall success of our players.

We are currently looking to fill 6 positions, across Syracuse NY, Binghamton NY, Brooklyn NY, and St. Lucie FL.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Set up and manage technology to meet daily player and coach needs.

  • Oversee the uploading and processing of post-practice and post-game videos.

  • Collaborate with coaches and the team to prepare for advance reports and player meetings.

  • Participate in player development discussions, capturing notes and next steps to support the coaching staff.

  • Utilize internal software and tools to review player performance and trends at the affiliate level.

  • Offer support for ad hoc player analysis, including report review, data aggregation, and assistance with player takeaways.

  • Contribute to the dissemination of new tools and information to affiliate coaching staff.

  • Provide weekly feedback to the Player Development Front Office regarding affiliate operations, learnings, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.

  • Knowledge of baseball technologies, including Hawk-Eye, TrackMan, Blast Motion, and similar tools.

  • Proficiency in information technology, including Excel and other Microsoft Office software.

  • Comfortable with reviewing and analyzing player data.

  • Experience with video editing software, such as Premiere, Photoshop, and Illustrator, is a plus.

  • Experience with SQL and analytical tools is a plus.

  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.

Salary Rate: $15 an hour
