This in-person position is responsible for supporting the overall data strategy of the Business Intelligence & Analytics department. The position will contribute throughout the entire data analytics lifecycle, including data acquisition, data hygiene, reporting, analytical modeling, and business application. Additionally, the role will proactively find areas of opportunity to streamline internal processes, develop automation, and build scalable data solutions. A technical and analytical approach to problem solving, a critical thinking mindset and an ability to partner and communicate with other internal stakeholders will be key success factors for delivering creative and actionable business solutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Acquire, organize, analyze, and present data from ticket sales, merchandise sales, marketing campaigns, corporate partnership sales, stadium operations, loyalty programs, market research and various other business verticals
• Develop predictive, prescriptive and machine learning data models (e.g., fan clustering, marketing campaign analysis) to support audience activation, identify business risks, and drive business outcomes
• Curate targeted audience segments for marketing campaigns, while overseeing the approval process to ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout all stages of the campaign build
• Analyze fan interactions and behavior to implement fan journeys and design lookalike models
• Facilitate A/B testing implementation and analysis to optimize engagement and conversion
• Address ad-hoc data requests and projects as needed (e.g., campaign performance metrics, fan profiles)
• Use SQL queries to retrieve business information, respond to ad hoc requests and develop Business Intelligence dashboards in Power BI
• Design and develop internal systems and scripts in collaboration with our Data Engineer to acquire data that can be used to enhance and automate the business process
Qualifications:
• 2 Years of experience in an analytical role
• A degree in a quantitative field, such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, or Economics
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Considerable experience with data science tools (e.g., R, Python, SAS) to develop automation and predictive analysis
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment, maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to clearly convey ideas and collaborate effectively amongst stakeholders, many of which function outside of the analytics space
• Experience using Power BI, Tableau or other data visualization tools preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and other Office products
• Curious self-starter who learns new concepts quickly
