SUMMARY: Seeking experienced and highly organized paralegal to support the Minnesota Vikings legal team by providing legal and project support in a highly dynamic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Under supervision of Minnesota Vikings lawyers, draft and revise a variety of contracts and other documents, including suite agreements, sponsorship agreements, event agreements, consulting agreements, waivers, non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements and technology agreements.
  • Take leadership role in maintaining and updating legal document database and departmental records.
  • Proactively assist in the development and implementation of improvements to current contract processes.
  • Develop and update contract tracking mechanisms to track contract work flow.
  • Serve as liaison between the Minnesota Vikings lawyers and other departments pertaining to execution of legal projects and implementation of contract requirements, including scheduling of payment with the finance department.
  • Identify and escalate complex legal issues to Minnesota Vikings lawyers for direction and/or handling.
  • Maintain professional level of communication with internal and external contacts, while exercising discretion with confidential information.
  • Assist with communications to the National Football League, including submission of executed agreements requiring approval.
  • Gather information and conduct initial research on requested subjects.
  • Provide support to Minnesota Vikings lawyers on litigation matters, including document production and email review.
  • Assist with the processing of workers compensation claims in collaboration with Minnesota Vikings lawyers and outside counsel.
  • Perform all other special projects as assigned.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and thoroughness in document generation and proofreading
  • Adept in management of multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities
  • High level of personal integrity and ethics
  • Demonstrated understanding of the business imperative around inclusivity and belonging
  • Advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Word and Excel for document generation, including legal formatting/redlining, tables and figures
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with appropriate sensitivity and discretion
  • Willingness to work longer work hours when necessary
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to exercise good judgment and interact professionally with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization
  • Desire to continuously learn, develop, improve and grow as a legal professional

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal or legal studies from an accredited degree program
  • Paralegal Certification from ABA-approved program
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience working as paralegal
  • Significant experience in contract drafting

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE BEYOND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience as an in-house paralegal in a corporate law department
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
