Position:

The Manager of Security Operations is part of the Stadium Operations Department for Minnesota United FC (MNUFC), a sports business located in the Twins Cities area of Minnesota and a member of Major League Soccer (MLS), the top tier soccer league in North America.

Job Description:

MNUFC is seeking a Manager of Security Operations to support in providing quality security and safety operational support at Allianz Field, MNUFC’s Training Facility, and Business Office. This role will support various forms of security surrounding both the day-to-day and event day needs. The Manager of Security Operations will interact and work alongside various departments within MNUFC as well as other outside agencies as needed; including but not limited to, local law enforcement, Department of Homeland Security, and Department of Safety and Inspections

This position is primarily located at Allianz Field in St. Paul, MN and reports to the Director of Security Operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with supervision and management of a 24/7 Security Team
    • Review of 24/7 documents (i.e. daily activity reports, key activities, lost and found)
    • Aid in the continued training of 24/7 Security Team
  • Create and manage staffing plans (Allianz Field game days, MNUFC2 game days, and additional Allianz Field events)
    • Assist with game day review of contract security
    • Aid in the continued training of event security staff
  • Review and approve RFID requests and create approved cards
  • Review requests for video and document the chain of custody
  • Liaise with local law enforcement, fire, medical services and other local/state entities as needed
  • Liaise with MLS Security staff
    • Complete various assessments with the help of the Director of Security Operations
    • Communicate with MLS Soccer Security Agents and other members of the MLS Security Department
  • Plan and execute table top exercises
  • Represent security team at MNUFC events including but not limited to, MNUFC2 matches at the National Sports Center, special events, etc.
  • Assist with game day incident response
  • Other duties as reasonably assigned to the Manager of Security Operations

Education/Experience:

  • 3 – 4 experience in related field
  • Supervisory experience in a team setting, preferred
  • Prior experience in investigative and report writing
  • Experience with Genetec systems or similar CCTV software
  • Industry best practices experience for weapons screening
  • First Responder training or experience, preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and procedures
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to accomplish goals under strict timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to independently seek proactive solutions to problems and situations before and/or after they arise
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Calendar
