Position:

The Assistant Video Analyst is a crucial member of the Sporting Operations Department at Minnesota United Football Club (MNUFC), a Major League Soccer (MLS) team located in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.

Job Description:

The Assistant Video Analyst will be responsible for aiding in the delivery of high-quality video analysis and tactical insights to the First Team staff and players. Your duties include preparing comprehensive scouting reports, creating video presentations for upcoming opponents, and providing post-match analysis to evaluate team performance.

This position, located in Blaine, MN, involves various duties and daily tasks outlined below.

Position Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Video Analyst to prepare in-depth scouting reports for all games to support Technical Staff.

· Provide individual scouting videos for the opposition's starting eleven.

· Support Video Analyst in filming and coding for all MNUFC games, including away games.

· Perform post-match coding and analysis to evaluate team performance through video and data.

· Distribute position-specific video content to players for self-reflection.

· Assist in filming and coding of training sessions according to team’s style of play.

· Help develop ‘best practices’ library to create alignment from 1st team through Academy.

· Monitor and maintain video equipment.

· Other duties and projects as assigned by First Team staff.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

· 3+ years of analysis experience in a college/professional setting.

· Proficiency in Analysis Software (Fulcrum Tec Angles, Hudl, Sportscode, Metrica Play).

· Proficiency working with data, including Tableau, Python, and Wyscout/Opta data feeds preferred.

· Experience flying a drone preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong work ethic and attention to detail

· Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks simultaneously.

· Strong organizational skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, and weekends
