Procurement Assistant

An exciting opportunity for an individual to join our fantastic Procurement team as a Procurement Assistant.

What will you be doing?

The Procurement assistant is responsible for:

  1. Providing procurement support across a range of indirect categories with procurement team on large projects.
  2. Administering tenders and supplier contracts
  3. Leading and monitoring supplier relationships and onboarding
  4. Assisting in the development and administering internal procedures and documentation
  5. Advising and assisting stakeholders in procurements
  6. Helping to drive better procurement practice across the club and ensure compliance to the Club’s purchasing policies and procedures
  7. Complete development of procurement skills by achieving a Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply qualification (MCIPS)

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Good knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
  • Good knowledge of product categories and markets including production processes and costs, product make-up’s, specifications and raw material costs
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets

As well as demonstrating these technical skills:

  • Proficiency in the use of P2P procurement related systems and processes
  • A good understanding of procurement demonstrating analytical and synthetic skills

Candidates that pass our initial sift will be invited to take aptitude tests.

Interviews for this position are scheduled to take place on 14th June.
