Under the director of the Performance Nutrition Director, the Sports Nutrition Assistant will provide support in a broad range of functional areas pertaining to the nutrition of the athletes.

Essential Job Functions

  • Manage Fuel Station through inventorying, purchasing and stocking nutritional supplies/supplements.
  • Player, coach and staff nutrition management/counseling: Assess [incl. body composition], design, implement and evaluate nutrition/hydration strategies and interventions.
  • Work in partnership with hotel/stadium teams to produce pre/post-game and travel meals.
  • Development of nutrition education resources and presentations for players, coaches and staff.
  • Provide players with hydration/fuel during games/practices.
  • Develop/manage individual/group culinary systems.
  • Execute hydration testing protocols.
  • Evaluate dietary strategies/supplements using latest scientific research to ensure player safety.
  • Other duties as assigned by Performance Nutrition Director in collaboration with sports medicine/strength & conditioning/culinary teams.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed registered dietitian.
  • Must have valid driversโ€™ license to drive.
  • Experience in food service and/or restaurant and hospitality industries.
  • Must be available to work extended hours including night, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work as an integral part of the sports nutrition team.
  • Experience in Infographic Development (Adobe Suite) preferred.
  • Willing to live in Las Vegas during the term of employment.

Physical Aspects of Position (includes but are not limited to):

  • Frequent walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and stair climbing
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, pushing, pulling
  • Occasional lifting and carrying up to 75lbs
