POSITION PROFILE: Production Graphic Designer
DEPARTMENT: Marketing
REPORTS TO: Senior Brand Designer 
STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt  

JOB SUMMARY: The Production Graphic Designer is responsible for the creation of creative collateral for corporate partnerships, client services and consumer marketing needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Design logos, sales mock-ups, presentation decks, ads, packaging, posters, and invites in both digital and print.
  • Establish and maintain graphic brand consistency throughout all applications. 
  • Work directly with the creative team conceptualizing and developing ideas for Corporate Partnerships, Events, Client Services, Consumer Marketing and Brand Marketing departments.
  • Create and design web and email campaigns across all departments.
  • Communicate with internal and outside print vendors for developing print-ready files, pricing and approvals for each project. 
  • Assist in managing day-to-day responsibilities as well as the seasonal design staff as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Creativity is a must. An ideal candidate needs to be able to solve visual problems with innovative solutions. 
  • Must be a strong collaborator and communicator. Needs to have the ability to work as a team player to communicate concepts, brainstorm, self-start and pitch big ideas. Must be able to take direction well.
  • Needs to be able to develop scalable design systems to stay within the brand across all platforms. 
  • Must be able to create stunning presentations within PowerPoint, Keynote and other digital presentation platforms.  
  • Ability to manage time on their own and prioritize projects simultaneously. Needs to bring dedication to projects both small and large. 
  • Must be able to work within the Chiefs brand guidelines and with the style guides of both current and potential partners.
  • A successful candidate will understand the “who” and the “why” of the Chiefs brand identity and will work to apply them throughout their creative. 
  • Must have experience in large format and environmental design. Needs to be able to see ideas from mocking up concepts to implementation while working with internal and external departments for feedback and approval.  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Must have a strong design portfolio to be considered for this opportunity.  Your portfolio should showcase a deep understanding of layout, typography, hierarchy, composition, visual rhythm and color theory. You strongly are encouraged showcase your concept development (sketches, prototyping, early drafts, etc.).
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a design-related field. Candidates with relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Must be experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
