Purpose of the Job
The Event Presentation Specialist will assist in the coordination and execution of all assigned elements relating to in-game and live event production. This position will play an integral part in collaborating, creating, and developing the fan experience and in-game presentation during Houston Dynamo and Dash games, as well as additional stadium client events (i.e., Texas Southern University football games, international soccer matches, and various client events hosted at Shell Energy Stadium).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Working with the Event Presentation Director on building, planning, preparation, and organization of all entertainment aspects of Houston Dynamo, Houston Dash, and all Shell Energy Stadium client’s events
Maintain and build game day presentation databases such as: the National Anthem, Color Guard, Military Heroes, half-time performances, and additional fan experiences for match days.
Assist during rehearsals, including: soundchecks (i.e., anthem singers, halftime performances), opening introduction sequence, in-game promotions, halftime activities, ceremonies, performances, and various group participation activations (center flags, color guards)
Liaison between the Event Director/Producer to set up, manage, and cue the various in- game talent, in-game activations, and various promotions during each match day and event.
Work with producers, camera operators, and talent to frame and set up live promotions while coordinating with contestants, hosts, mascot, promotional team, and additional talent.
Responsible for prompt, proactive, and clear communication between the Event Director/Producer, promotional crew, and other talent throughout the game that will create accurate and on time live elements.
Collaborating with various departments, outside vendors, and community partners to build out theme nights, partnership elements, and mascot incorporation.
Maintain inventory of all props, entertainment databases, and in-game activation elements (i.e., contestants needed, prizes in-hand, and appropriate waivers and safety measures).
As a department, grow and develop the mascot character and program.
Build and direct the game presentation for events such as Texas Southern University Football, Houston Dynamo 2, and Houston Dash, and other events as scheduled.

Qualification Requirements

Two (2) to four (4) years of experience working in live sports entertainment, TV/Film production, live event management, or other relevant production/coordination – required.
Basic knowledge of football, soccer, and live events – preferred
Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays –
required.

While performing the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift, move up or down objects up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to a stadium environment where noise levels, lighting, and special effects can be quite loud for long periods of time.
