U18s Assistant Coach (Women)

The position purpose is to assist on all aspects of the U18s operational and coaching programme, supporting the Lead Pathway Coach.

As confident custodians, all staff must adhere to the Club’s Health and Safety policy as well as comply with all role specific health and safety requirements. In addition, all staff have the responsibility to report any breach or potential breach in health & safety to a member of the H&S committee or senior manager.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To lead on the creation and delivery of a high-quality Individual Development Programme for all WU18 players.
  • To assist the planning and delivery of all training sessions and matches.
  • To work closely with the FFCW Head Coach and MDT to ensure alignment to 1st team.
  • To support the completion of all reports, monitoring and evaluation requirements to FFCW players and parents.
  • Frequently report and share progress of player development and potential pathway movement with the FFCW Head Coach.
  • Liaise regularly with the Lead Pathway Coach on each individual plan and progress made towards targets.
  • To support the high-quality coordination, operational running and delivery of the FFCW U18s age group, including all training session and match day operations.
  • Ensure each session is planned, delivered and reflected on in order to achieve weekly, monthly and season objectives.
  • Support the recruitment of new players into the U18s and support 1st Team recruitment to further improve the playing squad.
  • Attend all staff and player meetings as directed by the FFCW Head Coach.

Person specification

The ideal candidate for this role will withhold a minimum of a UEFA C Licence with additional mandatory qualifications in First Aid (IFAiF) and FA Safeguarding. They will have strong communication skills and the ability to manage time and tasks effectively. Essential experience within specific female football progammes is essential along side experience of recruiting players within a Women's football pathway.
